Live plants are sensitive to temperature extremes. While we take reasonable steps to protect plants during transit, we cannot be held responsible for damage or decline caused by heat, cold, or weather-related delays once a parcel has been lodged with Australia Post.
Inspection on Arrival
Customers must inspect their order immediately upon delivery. Any issues relating to transit damage or dead-on-arrival plants must be reported within 24 hours with clear photos of the plant and original packaging. Claims made outside this timeframe may not be eligible for review.
Events Outside Our Control
The Sun-Soaked Shelf is not liable for delays, losses, or non-performance resulting from events beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to postal service disruptions, extreme weather, natural disasters, or transport system failures.
No Growth or Survival Guarantee
Due to the natural variability of live plants and differences in growing conditions, The Sun-Soaked Shelf does not offer any guarantee regarding future growth, survival, or performance after delivery.

Please note that live plants are natural products and may show minor variations in size, colour, or form from photos.
Once dispatched, environmental factors during transit (such as temperature and handling) are beyond our control, but we package every order carefully to minimize stress.
If your plant arrives with significant damage, please contact us within 24 hours of delivery with clear photos so we can assist.
Care Responsibility
Once your plant has been delivered in a healthy condition, its ongoing care becomes the responsibility of the buyer. This includes appropriate light, watering, temperature, and acclimatization to its new environment.
As live plants are sensitive to handling and environmental changes, we cannot guarantee survival after delivery.
Detailed care guidance is provided where possible, but individual results may vary based on growing conditions and experience.
All policies are designed to be fair, transparent, and compliant with Australian Consumer Law, while supporting my small, hobbyist-grown plant business.
