Return & Refund Policy

At The Sun-Soaked Shelf, we take great care to grow, prepare, and pack every plant before dispatch. Because we sell live plants grown on a small scale from our own collection, all sales are considered final, and we do not accept returns or offer refunds for change of mind, incorrect selection, or plant decline due to post-delivery care.

 

Under Australian Consumer Law, you are entitled to a refund, replacement, or repair if a product is faulty, not as described, or arrives in a condition that makes it unusable for its intended purpose. In the unlikely event that your plant arrives significantly damaged or dead on arrival, please contact us within 24 hours of delivery with clear photos of the plant and packaging. Each case will be assessed individually in line with ACL requirements.

We are unable to offer refunds or replacements for plants that decline due to environmental conditions, watering practices, repotting, acclimatization, or general care after delivery, as these factors are beyond our control.

 

Minor cosmetic blemishes, natural variations in colour or form, and temporary transit stress do not qualify as faults.

DELIVERY DETAILS

At The Sun-Soaked Shelf, every plant is packed with care to ensure it arrives healthy and happy. We use secure packaging and thoughtful preparation to protect your plants during transit, so unboxing is a positive experience from start to finish.

To minimise the time plants spend in transit, all orders are dispatched on Mondays only, helping to avoid parcels being held over the weekend. While delivery times are managed by Australia Post and are outside of our direct control, we take every possible step on our end to prepare, pack, and lodge your order promptly and carefully.

Delivery Details Responsibility

Customers are responsible for ensuring that all delivery information provided at checkout is accurate and complete. The Sun-Soaked Shelf cannot be held liable for delays, losses, or additional shipping costs resulting from incorrect addresses, missed deliveries, or failed delivery attempts. Any reshipping costs incurred due to customer error will be the responsibility of the buyer.

Delivery to different states

The Sun-Soaked Shelf operates as a small business and is not currently approved or equipped to comply with Australian quarantine and biosecurity requirements. Accordingly, we are unable to supply or ship live plants outside of Western Australia, including interstate or international destinations. At this time, services are limited to the Perth metropolitan area only. However, I am always happy to work with local Plant Concierge services who are authorized to export plants internationally or domestically on your behalf so that you can still have your amazing plants sent to you.

Orders with crystals or macramé only can be sent across Australia without restrictions. For international orders please contact me for international shipping
