What a gem she is!
Here is a blog that I wrote, please check it out to better understand this plant:
The Plant That Doesn’t Try to Be the Star — But Is Anyway
Small = new baby pup, potential of no roots
Medium = Established in 100 mm pot
Large = Overlapping 100mm pot but less than 120 mm across
Agave Isthmensis ‘Rum Runner’ is a striking and sought-after variegated agave that draws attention with its bold golden-yellow mid-stripe set against cool grey-green leaf margins. This compact form produces tight rosettes that typically reach around 25 cm (10 in) across and offset from the base, forming attractive clumps over time, making it a true standout in succulent collections, decorative pots, or xeriscape plantings.
Please note: Images show the mother plant (not for sale) with pups present at the time the photograph was taken. Pups available for purchase are removed at the time of sale and may not be reflected in these images.
Highly prized by collectors for its dramatic colour contrast and rarity in cultivation, the Rum Runner thrives in bright light or full sun and well-drained soil, while staying relatively low-maintenance once established. Its striking appearance and compact footprint make it a captivating focal point — a rare gem that elevates any plant display with vibrant colour and architectural form.
